The noost at Voe; sixareen 225 LK HOPE and sixareen LK 794 ACTIVE behind her, and Ness yoals. The white wooden shed was Geordie Johnson's boatbuilding shed (wherein many 'Ness yoals were built). Crew of Hope was George Irvine snr. (skipper), George Irvine jr., Malcolm Manson, George Arcus, John Arcus, Gavin Black. Hope was built in 1905 at Hay & Co., Lerwick, and sold to Whalsay in 1924. Crew of Active was William Bairnson (skipper), Jeemie Bairnson, Andrew Bairnson, James Cheyne, John Mainland, John Ridland. Active was built c. 1892 by Lowrie Goodlad and sold to Scalloway in 1915.
