Parnook at Victoria Pier

PARKNOOK LK 100 lying at Victoria Pier, ready to leave for fishing, early 1930's. The PARKNOOK was built by Charlie Duncan, Cunningsburgh, in 1923, having a single-cylinder Kelvin engine, and was owned by St. Clair Pottinger. Canvas bows can be seen on board, along with the skulls of grit lines, which are made up ready to bait and shoot. An oar fish lying on starboard gunwhale creating much interest. PARNOOK was later renamed the FORGET ME NOT and lay in the West Dock in the fifties. The vessel was then sold and lay at Tresta for many years, and is now possibly at Burra. Bows of ST.
