Muness; Toft (two houses), Castletoun (three houses), Muness Castle. Roofless is Middeltoun.

Thomas Dishington-Smith, student of medicine at Edinburgh purchased entire lands of Fauld, Litligarth, Ramnagio and Muness in Unst from the Rev. W Mouat Cameron in June 1900. The new proprieter was a legitimate descendant of Laurence Bruce of Muness, who in 1598 built the Castle. Sadly, Mr Dishington-Smith's death in Edinburgh, aged 24, is reported that December in the SHETLAND NEWS. His body is conveyed to Shetland aboard the S.S. St. Giles for burial in Fetlar.
