Regatta day at Lerwick; tub race taking place at north side of Victoria Pier; large crowd of spectators in fourareens and on the pier, also on flitboat, which is lying at pierhead. Yacht in foreground, in Bressay Sound are a barque, H.M.S. SPEEDWELL, and steam drifter which leaves a long trail of smoke to the north. The pole for the greasy pole event can be seen on the north side of the pier. Note steamer's cargo of barrels and crates; also gas lamp post.
