Description
The Whalsay seine KORONA LK 149, taking on ice. At the chute is Laurence Shearer, from J. & M. Shearer, and back-on is Peter Jamieson, skipper of the Korona. This is the first ice being supplied to the boats from the new quayside Ice Factory, as against the normal truck deliveries with kits. The boat on the outside is the first of the then 'modern' pursers, being the Buchan families boat LUNAR BOW from Peterhead.
