Sumburgh Airfield, 1938. LEOPARD Moth G-ACXH belonging to Sam RSumburgh Airfield, 1938. LEOPARD Moth G-ACXH belonging to Sam Reid visited Sumburgh during summer. While present Sam Reid would take his brother-in-law George Leslie to look for herring. It was known on occasion for details to be dropped from the aircraft flying over Lerwick, but a landing at Sumburgh and telephone message were more normal.
