Steam drifters at fishmarket quay, seen from Fort Charlotte. In foreground is road below the Fort, with Dutch fishermen and others walking. The premises of various fish salesmen, including James Robertson, at the (second, and temporary) fishmarket. North of the market are stacks of building materials, ready for commencement of the (third) fishmarket. Drifters at the quay are LT, YH and BF boats. Laid up north of the new market site is LK 230 EVA. In Bressay Sound are Dutch luggers; VL 10, IJM 87, VL 29, OC 24, MA ?, SCH ?, OC 28 and many others. At right, in Bressay Sound, is sail drifter LK 1104 SUNSHINE.
