Boats at the Bød, Voe of Vaila. Nearest are fourareen Family's Friend and small haddock boat John Sands 3027 LK. This latter boat was built in 1886 and fished until 1894; note the whales skull used as a shoard under her. At left are two landing stages, which the boats came alongside to discharge their catch, one stage has a boat alongside. In middle distance lies a mooring anchor.
