Description
In the Gilbertson Park. Front left, facing away, is a man in a flat cap; immediately above him and left is a boy facing right with a grey jacket and hands in his pockets, this is Arthur Isbister. Just in front of him with big ears and a white collar and dark jumper is James (Pongo) Jamieson. To his right is a fair-haired unknown girl; to her right, the tall dark-haired girl with pulled-back hair is Bella Irvine (nee White). Two heads diagonally top right from her is an unknown young man with a dark tie; bearing over his left shoulder with curly dark hair and an absorbed expression on her face is Maggie Manson. Two heads to the right of her, again with an absorbed expression and with head bent slightly to his right is Gilbert Pottinger. In front of him and one right, with long curly hair, is Betty Nicolson (nee Sutherland). Two heads to the right of her slightly obscured by piper's cap, is Jimmy Sinclair. To the right of him, with short curly dark hair, is Rhoda Bulter (nee Johnson). To the right of the flagpole, highest head with large ears, is Douglas Conochie. There is a boy standing on a wall; immediately below his right leg is an unknown woman, and immediately below her is a girl stretching her neck to see, this is Jemima Winchester. Immediately in front of her to the right is another girl stretching to see; this is Inga Hunter (nee Thompson). In front of the standing boy's left hand is a girl with a headsquare; this is Clara Goudie. Two heads to the right of Inga Hunter, holding onto another girl's arm, is Meg Smith (nee Black). The girl she holds on to, with hand at neck, is Ella Cluness (nee Coutts). The smaller girl at front to her left, with white collar and looking downwards, is June Thompson. Piper is Peter MacKay.
