8th September, 1911
Motor haddock boat LK 171 SYLVANUS at Ham Little, with fourareen being rowed behind. The SYLVANUS was at Foula to flit off sheep to Mainland, where they were to be sold; Lowrie Georgeson, Hamnabreck and family, and Magnie Manson, Hamnabreck, and family, who owned them, were emigrating to Australia. (The SYLVANUS was the largest boat built by Walter Duncan, Burra). The boat returned to Hillswick.
