Cod spread on beach to dry, and steeple, at John Brown's station, Wadill Ayre, Burravoe. Men gathering up fish in the background. After gutting and salting the fish were dried in the sun, on a stony beach. When dried, the fish were built up into a stack, called a steeple. Taken same time as M00230.
