Title
Andersoon family outside Palmire, Hillswick
Date Of Photo
1930's
Description
Palmire, Hillswick; outside are Katie, Charlotte and Jeannie Anderson. The last family to live here was the Pickersgill family. They narrowly escaped with their lives after being woken up in the middle of the night with the house on fire. The house was totally ablaze as they left. It was thought that the cause was calor gas which had filled the wall cavities, and was ignited by the stove. This was in May 1978.
