Description
Local sail vessel DAISY, in Bressay Sound. She was a floating shop. Sail marked with fictitious fishing registration LK 0. Around turn of 19th/20th centuries shop boats, both locally-owned and visiting, plied their trade around Shetland voes. This boat could possibly be the smack-rigged sail drifter DAISY LK 270 (42, 23 tons) owned by Hay & Co. and crewed by Quarff men. This boat came in 1882 and her registry was cancelled in 1904.
