(Gossamer was a 26 ton cutter belonging to James Hoseason, of Pole, Hoseason & Co., skipper was a Johnson. Served as packet boat in Burraness/Swinister area of Delting. She was built at Ipswich in 1834, came to Shetland in 1852, was sold to Orkney in 1883.)
