Jack Shewan, Shetland's finest modelmaker, with one of his boat models. He was from Scatness, Dunrossness, and for most of his working life stayed at 40 Garthspool Place, Lerwick. He was a boat carpenter, and in 1903 became Hay & Co.'s foreman boatbuilder. He was born in 1865 and died 1958.
