Description
A Tammy Norie colony at Hermaness, Unst a National Nature Reserve. The Atlantic or (Common Puffin) is probably the best known member of the Auk family. No nests are visible but Puffins nest in burrows (which they usually dig themselves with their very sharp claws) amongst boulder scree and also in cracks in the cliffs.
