Description
Private Bunty Reid and Private Davie Groat outside Shetland Companies, Gordon Highlanders' Headquarters in Market Street. Bunty is from Albany Street, and was later wounded in France in 1918. Davie is from Commercial Road. The young soldier on the LHS is Bunty Reid - full name James Rusk Reid. Later migrated to South Australia and settled in Whyalla. Became foreman shipwright for the BHP company.(now BHP Billiton)Deceased 1973. Survived by son, douglas and Daughter Joyce, and 8 grandchildren.
