Description
Aftermath of explosion at Robertson's net store, near the Fish Market, Lerwick. It appears that a fire occurred in a store adjoining a place where explosives were kept. The force of the explosion resulted in pieces of corrugated iron, splinters of wood and glass, being strewn for hundreds of yards. The store was practically blown away and below where the explosives lay, masonry and solid concrete were destroyed.
