? and Betty Poleson of Crugafirt, Whalsay. Betty was a pupil teacher at the Brough School 1921-22. Around time of this photo she entered training as a missionary. she went on to be a missionary in the Punjab, India 1929 to 1940. She was back in India working in the 1950s, latterly stayed in New Zealand. Betty returned a couple of times to Whalsay, one of them in the early 1930s. She was born 1904 and died February 1987 in New Zealand.
