John Anderson & Sons' premises and fish curing business at the Bød, Hillswick. Stacks of barelled herring awaiting flitting of to steamer for shipment. Alec Robertson (Klettenrø), carpenter, working at a whilly. Note winch, with warp leading down to the jetty. The Anderson women are grouped in the gateway of the house, and Thomas Hawick (Nibon), stands in the door of the shop, of which he was manager. Beyond the jetty are fish vats, from the whitefish side of the business.
